The Congress rate low on the “public trust” and is considered incompetent, corrupt, and many more things. The reason for this lack of trust by the public are the things that help a Congress member to keep his or her job which includes satisfied constituents and supportive party and this makes Congress unpopular (Barbour and Wright, 2017, pg. 210). Where on one hand the voters want their chosen representatives in the Congress so that their self interests can be completed and on the other hand the voters also want Congress to ensure goodness of the nation’s business. Also, party wants the members to be loyal. All of this often makes Congress member unpopular.
